Amber Casas was 19 years old when she was eligible for the WIOA Youth Program. Amber is a
high school dropout who was interested in obtaining work experience and employment in the
medical field. Amber successfully completed her work experience at Beehive Homes of
Plainview where she learned basic nursing skills. Amber was then hired on as a caregiver with
Beehive Homes of Plainview. Amber was content with her employment at Beehive Homes of
Plainview, but recently due to personal issues she had to resign her employment at Beehive
Homes of Plainview. Amber is currently employed at Chili’s Grill & Bar as a
dishwasher/housekeeper. She was able to find other employment quickly with confidence she
gained through her work experience and supportive case management she received in the
WIOA Youth Program. Amber plans to get a certified nurse assistant certificate so she can
obtain employment as a CNA.
